Jack Johnson “goes green” by teaming with Brita
Jack Johnson, the Dave Matthews Band, U2, Lady Antebellum and Ben Harper are showing fans that it’s cool to go green by partnering with Brita’s FilterForGood Campaign to reduce the number of plastic water bottles.
The program urges concertgoers to bring their own reusable water bottle or buy one of the provided compostable corn-made cups instead of using plastic water bottles.
“Being someone who spends a lot of time in the ocean I see firsthand the amount of plastic that washes up on our shores. A solution we can all make is to reduce our dependence on single use plastics. I’m happy to be teaming up with Brita to bring water stations to every show on my US tour and encourage people to use alternatives to single use plastic water bottles,” Johnson told EarthTimes.org.
